How Can I Find Online LPN Schools?
I see a lot of people desperately searching for online LPN classes which can provide them with a distance education option. I even receive inquires for specific school addresses. I know that the information you find on the internet can be very misleading, especially if you have no idea what LPN training is like. Most people get very excited with the idea of completing an LPN training online, which can help them make more money without leaving their present job. But I wonder if you have ever come across even one school which enrolled you for online LPN classes. And trust me, if there is a way around to provide LPN training online, you would have seen thousands of online LPN schools already. But I guess you only have seen a lot of advertisement for online LPN training with empty promise.
The thing is, it’s practically not possible to complete LPN training online without attending the clinical part in person. It’s absolutely possible to complete the theory part by yourself online, but the practical part requires you to attend normal classes at a facility. As you may have noticed from the name itself, LPN (licensed practical nurses) training involves a lot of hands on classes. Unlike certified nursing aids (CNA) and registered nurses (RN), there are no complete online programs for an LPN, due to its intensive practical training.
Online LPN training, as interesting as it is, finding a program is very difficult and at the same time you may also have hard time during your job hunt. Some healthcare facilities, especially hospitals, may be picky about the online training.
Another alternative to online LPN schools for those with little to no time to spend on classes in regular campus setting–evening and weekend classes are great options. There are a lot of programs, which offer these kinds of training options. You can find them in our LPN schools directory.
If you still want to give online training a shot, please use our accredited LPN schools directory as a reference to do your research.
